Summer School 2023 at Tongji University Shanghai
From September 4 - 22, 2023, this year's Tongji Summer School of TU Berlin will again take place in face-to-face form at Tongji University Shanghai, with students from Bochum also being able to participate.
The modular, three-week intensive program for 30 German students is primarily aimed at economists and industrial engineers. It combines lectures by renowned China experts with intercultural management training and specialized courses by professors and company representatives.
Excursions to German and German-Chinese companies are on the program, as are daily Chinese lessons and cultural excursions to the area surrounding Shanghai. In this way, future junior executives are introduced to Chinese culture, politics, business and language; the accompanying cultural activities contribute to a better understanding between China and Germany and help to build a bridge between the cultures. Successful participation is confirmed by a certificate. Bachelor students of the Bochum Faculty of Business Administration and Economics can receive 5 ECTS credits from Prof. Dr. Bernard Pellens for the course work completed during the Summer School.
Applications are open until May 8, 2023 via the application form.
The total costs (including flight, accommodation and program fees for teachers, excursions, accommodation, entrance fees, etc.) amount to approximately 2,640 € and have to be paid by the students themselves.
